MONOCHROME / PORTRAITS / PHOTO BOOTH · INDEPENDENT WEB LOOK
Less color. More character.
Give an everyday portrait the timeless energy of an old photo-booth print. BOOTH removes color and adds firmer contrast, gentle grain and a slightly aged digital texture. Bring your own photo, compare the result and save the monochrome look.
No account required. Import a JPG, PNG or WebP in the browser.

01 / THE LOOK
BOOTH prioritizes light, expression and shape rather than clothing or background colors. Unlike the colorful Z30 or the soft BIGSHOT look, this profile is monochrome, with more pronounced blacks and gently textured midtones. Try a well-lit subject first; dark hair, black clothing and shadowed faces can lose detail at high intensity.
This camera-inspired filter is an independent creative interpretation, not an exact reproduction of a particular device or of the original mobile app. Results vary with the source photo.

02 / BEFORE & AFTER
Use the slider to compare two versions of the same AI-generated portrait. The original retains warm natural colors; BOOTH removes color and changes contrast and texture. Both examples use the same composition, with the processed version exported from the v32f browser renderer. Moving this slider reveals completed images; it does not alter intensity in Studio.

BOOTH LOOKORIGINALSample: a close, candid portrait with uneven shadows. Compare skin, hair and clothing details before choosing an intensity for your own photograph.
03 / PHOTO IDEAS
BOOTH suits scenes where expression, lighting and silhouette matter more than color. These three subjects are a useful place to begin.
Try a face close to the camera with gentle side light and a simple background.
Choose an expressive photo of two or more people and check that everyone stays visible in the shadows.
High-contrast buildings, reflections and signs make simple monochrome compositions.
04 / VISUAL TUTORIAL
Follow the same four-step workflow as the other ProCCD.net cameras. These are illustrated guides, not exact screenshots of the current Studio; button positions may differ on phones.

STEP 01
Open Studio and select Choose photo / clip (or Import). Select a JPG, PNG or WebP stored on your device.

STEP 02
Use Try BOOTH to open this look directly, or open the camera collection and select BOOTH from the available filters.

STEP 03
Move Intensity gradually and press Hold Original to compare. Check eyes, hair and black clothing before applying strong contrast to a portrait.

STEP 04
Add an optional Date Stamp if it suits the memory, then download your image. Inspect the downloaded image at full size; a photo-strip layout is not automatically created by this filter.
05 / TUNING NOTES
| Soft-lit portraits | Start with medium Intensity and protect detail around the eyes and hair. |
|---|---|
| Groups of friends | Check the light across each face; strong contrast can make some faces too dark. |
| Street silhouettes | Use stronger contrast only if the subject remains clear against the background. |
Supported still-photo edits run locally in the current browser Studio. ProCCD.net is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original ProCCD mobile app.
06 / CREATIVE CHALLENGE
Choose three expressive photos of the same afternoon: one smile, one quiet moment and one candid scene. Apply BOOTH to each, then save the results individually to create a consistent monochrome series. Automatic strip export is not implied.
07 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes. The current BOOTH profile is a monochrome photo look with contrast and texture. It does not keep the original photo colors at full intensity.
Not with this filter alone. BOOTH changes the appearance of a photo; it does not by itself create a four-image strip or print physical photographs.
Try a well-lit portrait, a group photo or a street scene with clear shapes. Check shadow detail on hair and clothes before exporting.
Use the optional Date Stamp control in Studio when available, then download the processed image. The date is optional, not added by default.
You can try BOOTH in a modern mobile browser such as Safari or Chrome. Test the image upload, preview and download on your device.
